Roofers, designers, architects, roof planters, horticulturists and landscape gardeners, and flat roof waterproofers have been using FLECK products successfully for decades. Planted flat roofs in particular – apart from waterproofing – need efficient ventilation, drainage and feedthrough products. These must be adaptable to the roof system height and at the same time, be compatible with the waterproofing material.
The waterproofing on intensively or extensively planted flat roofs should be root-proof. This also applies to all installation parts within the waterproofing level. All products from DN 50 – DN 150 with flange collar made of bituminous membrane are equipped with a root penetration resistant flange collar in accordance with EN 13948 and are clearly marked in the FLECK price list with

Calculation freedom without system constraints
Complete green roof assortments or systems including ventilation and drainage accessories are limiting. FLECK therefore offers those involved in the building process the option of being independent of systems and instead they are able to freely decide, calculate and purchase.
Place openings at least 15 cm above the surface of the green covering, to prevent the penetration of water. Where green areas are maintained with machines, the length of the vent should be the chosen so that it protrudes clearly out of the green area.
These vents are suitable for the installation of ventilation on extensively and intensively planted flat and inverted roofs. FLECK products reliably withstand the difficulties presented by moisture, increased load and plant growth.
FLECK green roof vents can be used with an extensive selection of suitable, screw-on system pipes for connections to utility pipes from DN 90 to DN 250. Suitable FLECK Flair heads are optionally available in DN 125 and DN 200 variants.

The FLECK green roof vent solves the condensation problem
Penetrations in the roof can cause temperature differences (thermal bridges) in the components and lead to condensation.
The solution: thermal insulation
The FLECK green roof vent has a double-walled structure with integrated thermal insulation and prevents the formation of condensation. It plays to its strengths, especially on intensively planted roofs with substrate layers of up to 80 cm high.

This robust retention box made of powder-coated aluminium is the perfect addition to protect the retention restrictor from dirt and keep it clear.
Special feature: The height of the retention box is variable and can be increased in 50 or 100 mm increments by using extension elements.

Quick visual inspection and easier cleaning: If the RINGO universal trap is laid, for example, around a screen, the screen remains visually clear. In addition, cleaning the whole drain area is made easier, as RINGO prevents gravel, granulate, etc. from falling into the drain area.

The green roof chamber is a flat roof drain inspection facility for planted roofs. It is positioned above the drain (up to DN 150) and is secured by the weight of gravel or a drainage layer. The drain is maintained and cleaned through the removable screw cap.
Additional benefits: The inspection chamber replaces a gravel trap or screen on planted roofs.

The FLECK green roof chamber allows drains on green roofs to be maintained and cleaned regularly despite the roof system and growing planting. It enables visible inspection and intervention, if necessary, of the drain below at any time.

Planted roofs store rainwater and in this way, relieve the sewers in peak run-off times, for example, after a cloudburst. Roof planting regulates the moisture balance naturally and ensures delayed rainwater discharge.

Extensive planting involves natural vegetation forms with robust plants that tend to be low and need hardly any care and maintenance. Intensive planting needs greater care, maintenance and watering and also includes grass, shrubs or trees.

The conversion of flat roof areas into used spaces is increasing. The combination of raised PV array with green roof below it is particularly popular. Easy to understand, as in addition to energy generation by the PV array, the green roof reduces CO2, binds fine dust, stores rainwater, promotes biodiversity and can positively influence the microclimate in densely built inner city spaces.
