Since 1 February 2019, Fleck GmbH has been a supporting member of the German Central Association of the Roofing Trade (ZDBF). The ZDBF is a communication platform on which specialist roofing suppliers can exchange ideas and information on all areas within the value chain of the roofing market within the cartel limits. We see our supporter membership as an affirmation of the three-level distribution channel and support the goals of the ZDBF.

Dachkult is a platform of the pitched roof initiative (“Initiative Steildach”), currently supported by 21 leading manufacturers in the German and international construction materials industry. The aim of the initiative is to break down entrenched ideas and clichés regarding the pitched roof. Dachkult wants to rekindle enthusiasm for the pitched roof as a fascinating element of Baukultur and stimulate a change in perspective. The initiative is primarily aimed at designers and architects, property developers, municipal building departments as well as universities and colleges that teach architecture and civil engineering. FLECK contributes its expertise in pitched roof products in order to project the advantages of the pitched roof to the outside world.

The IQDF e.V. Actively campaigns for the quality assurance of flat roof structures and waterproofing. Our commitment reflects our high quality standard and gives us the opportunity to contribute FLECK’s expertise acquired from many years of experience. One of the main objectives of the IQDF, which FLECK shares, is “Initiative 33”, with which the owners of very large roof areas are to be won over to plant at least one third of the previously “naked” roofs. In this regard, we also have the right products in our range, for example, with the FLECK green roof duct. Our supporting membership of the IQDF perfectly complements our engagement in the RAL Flat Roof Systems & Services Quality Control Association

As a well-known manufacturer of roof products, we are listed as a guest or supporting member of many roofer guilds throughout Germany. Alongside the associations of the federal states and the Central Association of German Roofing (ZVDH), the roofer guild is one of the three pillars of the trade association. A total of 200 guilds throughout Germany unite around 7,000 roofer firms and thus form a ubiquitous presence in the roofing trade.

We at FLECK are proud to have been part of the ROOF Campaign (“Aktion DACH”) since 1 January 2025. This is a joint campaign of the Central Association of German Roofing and its members with companies in the roofing industry and specialist trade. It brings together manufacturers, suppliers/traders and the roofing trade at one table and working together, successful, targeted market preparation takes place. In addition, promotion of young talent is very high on the campaign’s agenda.

The “Federal Association of Building Greenery” has set itself the goal of transforming grey towns and cities into living green oases. With its sustainably produced green roof products, Fleck provides the basis for environmentally protecting roofs and is proud to be part of the mission to give something back to nature.

The Federal Association of German Builders Merchants (Bundesverband Deutscher Baustoff-Fachhandel e.V., BDB) represents the interests of building materials businesses in Germany. The umbrella organisation of the BDB is the German Federal Association of Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (Bundesverband Groß- und Außenhandel und Dienstleistungen e.V., BGA). Within this organisation, the BDB is an independent trade association. One of the most important of the diverse tasks of the BDB is representing the industry’s specific interests on the political level and upstream and downstream economic sectors.
Since 1981, companies in the building materials industry and the BDB discuss industry-related and cross-industry topics in the Building Materials Industry Discussion Group (“Gesprächskreis Baustoffindustrie/BDB e. V.”, GSKR). Eight workgroups with more than 200 experts from both industries have currently formed. The workgroups are each coordinated, organisationally and technically, by a director of the BDB: This setup is a particular testament to the relationships between manufacturers and the trade which are based on partnership and are distinctive to an extent unlikely to be found in any other industry. Our Managing Director Christoph Nielacny is a member of the Construction Focus (“BauFokus”) workgroup. Topics such as the shortage of skilled workers and master data initiatives are discussed in this group.

A comprehensive quality connotation underlies the Flat Roof Systems & Services Quality Assurance Standard. Alongside standards and legal provisions, each of which only covers individual components of the products, many other aspects, which are important for their use, are evaluated and controlled here. These provisions are jointly defined by the members, as a result of which, a reliable technical standard is created. This points and explains which quality characteristics the respective products must meet. RAL Flat Roof Quality Control Association has set itself the standard of being the international partner for the development of criteria and measures covering every aspect of the flat roof.
As a member of the RAL Flat Roof Quality Association, Gütegemeinschaft Flachdach e.V., FLECK successfully passed the initial audit according to the new quality and test regulations in October 2021. For FLECK, this means that from now on, all our flat roof products, such as the ROOFGUARD or the 4-in-1 flat roof vent system must be regularly inspected This ensures that each FLECK flat roof product meets the quality standard of the RAL Quality Control Association.
With its membership, FLECK has undertaken to meet these standards.

The members of the Solar and Roof Technology Quality Association (“Qualitätsverband Solar- und Dachtechnik e. V.”, QVSD) have set themselves the goal of defining the highest possible quality standards for the design, production and maintenance of solar roofs. The QVSD wants to establish these in guidelines and recommendations and “share” them with everyone involved in construction through active communication. The members of the QVSD are not only from the roof technology sector, but also include expert assessors, the insurance industry with focus on solar installations, legal advice for solar topics and the manufacture of components for solar installations.

Since 1 January 2025, we have been a member of VinylPlus Deutschland. As part of this initiative, we are actively engaged in sustainability and the circular economy/recycling in the PVC industry. Together with other members, we champion the improvement of the environmental compatibility of PVC products and promote responsible recycling solutions. In this way we make an important contribution to sustainable development – including in the roof products sector.
