Innovative technology for secure drains

Our ROOFGUARD is already known as a leaf screen with innovative self-cleaning function. With its patented technology, it ensures free water run-off and thus also offers improved protection against flooding and water inrushes at rooflights and roof penetrations between the inspections or maintenance work, which should take place twice a year.

With immediate effect, FLECK connect for the ROOFGUARD extends this function and for the first time, uses a special telecommunication technology that allows permanent monitoring of the drain or gully.

From now on, the status of the ROOFGUARD can be checked in real-time via its own dashboard*. If it is triggered or the battery voltage is low, a corresponding alarm is sent to the user automatically. A real 24/7/365 monitoring system!

Its own transmission frequency ensures particularly long ranges, finds a transmission mast in the surrounding area quickly and logs onto the FLECK connect server automatically.

*Please note that the dashboard cannot be opened via Internet Explorer. It is best to use Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge as your browser. In addition, FLECK connect is currently not yet available in Austria and Benelux.

How the ROOFGUARD works

The ROOFGUARD with FLECK connect explained in 4 steps:
    1. In case of normal precipitation, the ROOFGUARD with FLECK connect functions as a conventional leaf screen. The transmitting module is permanently active.
    2. From a backed-up water level of approx. 60 mm or higher (e.g. due to heavy rainfall events) the ROOFGUARD mechanism is triggered.
    3. The movable buoyancy bodies then move upwards and open the roof drain suddenly, so that leaves or hail are flushed away unimpeded. At the same time as the ROOFGUARD triggers, FLECK connect sends a status email.
    4. After the rainfall event, the ROOFGUARD returns to its original position. A check device indicates that it has been triggered. The owner, roofer or facility manager can then carry out an inspection or maintenance if necessary.

The integrated leaf screen of the ROOFGUARD triggers automatically above a certain water level and keeps the drains clean.
